Music is a bitch mistress.
When Rhiannon is hired as a back-up singer for Killer Valentine, the hottest breakout rock band on the planet, her contract includes an iron-clad no-fraternization clause. However, it doesn’t take her long to figure out that Killer Valentine is falling apart from the stresses of touring and promotion. The band’s manager Jonas Rees, a green-eyed starmaker, is frantically trying to prevent them from self-destructing during their grueling tour and right before their first major-label record deal, but neither Jonas nor Rhiannon can deny the attraction that flares between them.
When the band’s problems threaten to derail the tour and Jonas slips and reveals their relationship, the lead singer demands that Rhiannon choose between music and love.
What A Girl Wants is the first novel in a series of stand alone novels about Killer Valentine. Rock Stars in Disguise: Tryp will be published in December, 2014.

What a girl wants is a sweet rocker romance but very fast paced.  I did feel rushed at time due to the speed of the events from start to finish.  The characters were sweet but I had trouble connecting with Rhiannon.  She was a very sweet girl but there was just something about her that didn’t fully click with me.  Don’t get me wrong, she was a really good character.  I just found it difficult to understand or accept her even, calm temperament no matter what was going on.  It didn’t seem realistic to me.  Even with all that, I still felt she was a strong character.  She was level headed, driven and compassionate.  She didn’t let difficulties of her childhood dissuade from her life goals.  She was determined to make it in the music business but followed the path of the straight and narrow.  She did fall into the cut throat portion of the business.
Jonas was quite dreamy at times.  Smitten with Rhiannon, he fought against it but just couldn’t resist her sweet persona.  He didn’t have an overbearing personality.  He and Rhiannon seemed to fit together perfectly.  He was no alpha but he managed to kindly and sweetly stake his claim on Rhiannon and she was just as smitten.
I would have liked a little more background or story line between them but I enjoyed this story.  I’m sure Tryp’s story will be quite entertaining.  He was a character that provided much of the comic relief.  It will be interesting to see what happens with him.

Review and Blog Tour: IRONS by MJ Fields

Irons by M.J. Fields (The Norfolk Series #1)
Publication date: August 10th 2014
Genres: New Adult, Romance

I was born and bred to be the man I am today. My father and his father were both graduates from The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. Both went on to become helicopter pilots. Both had seen plenty of action. Both had met and caused devastation. Both men, who I respect more above all, had served and protected the United States and her people honorably for decades.

My best friend, William Cruz, who attended the academy with me, had flown beside me, had lived the same life as I had and shared the same ambitions in life, was gone now. This was not part of the plan. Will and I were supposed to have each other’s backs, support each other and never let anything supersede our bond.

I sat on Norfolk Beach needing to feel close to him on the anniversary of his death. It was a beautiful day in May and I was cutting class. I had done the same every year since he passed.

Jaxson Irons was only supposed to be in Pensacola for a year. But now three years later I still hadn’t heard from him. I saw a man running down the beach and I knew immediately who it was.

Jaxson didn’t respond the way I had dreamed he would. He told me we would catch up someday soon. I stood and watched until he was gone.
Thump, thump. I placed my hand on my chest as I felt my heart beat again for what felt like the first time in three years. Thump, thump. I felt the blood moving quickly through my body. Its heat once again present. Thump, thump. I looked up at the sky and let out a breath. A breath that I had been holding forever. Thump, thump.

I felt tears fall down my face as I raised my hands in the air and laughed out loud. Just then the clouds parted for the first time in forever. I saw the sun smiling down on me.

I became a fan of MJ Fields when I came across the Men of Steel series and absolutely fell in love with each of the Steel brothers, but I have to say that Irons didn’t grab me like the others.

From the start, the story felt rushed.  So many scenes were given but cut short that I wasn’t quite sure what was going on.  I didn’t connect with Francesca, “Frankie”, at all. She was a hot mess and at some times even childish. About half way into the story, there were so many things introduced for suspense and drama purposes but it was still so rushed it felt like the story was being thrown at me from several directions and it just confused me.

I just couldn’t connect with either of the characters. Jax was supposedly a bad boy who didn’t do relationships but he flipped so quickly when he was with Frankie that his past wasn’t very believable. I understand they had history but it just didn’t work for me. There were a few steamy scenes between Jax and Frankie but not many.

Sad to say that this one was a 3.5 star read for me. 😦

MJ Fields’s love of writing was in full swing by age eight. Together with her cousins, she wrote a newsletter and sold it to family members. Today, she has four self-published series comprised of seventeen titles, including MEN OF STEEL, which was acquired by Swoon Romance in June 2014. MJ is a bestselling erotica author and former small business owner, who recently closed the business so she could write full time.

MJ lives in central New York, surrounded by family and friends. Her house is full of pets, friends, and noise ninety percent of the time, and she would have it no other way.

So, before I began reading The Bondage Club I had an idea in my head of what to expect.  I can honestly say that this story went in a completely different direction and I was so VERY pleasantly surprised.  Getting to know these characters was such a treat. 🙂
Alexandrea Weis tells us a great story in the 3rd person and completely from Hunter Donovan’s POV.  It was a breath of fresh hair to read a novel completely from the male’s perspective.  Hunter wasn’t the typical Alpha male we come to expect. He was written in a way that he seemed so real.  On those pages, he was a regular guy. Struggling with what he wanted and what was expected of him.
In walks Cary.  She walks in with the looks of the typical girl next door. Her tiny frame and innocent appearance throws Hunter off guard.  For some reason she strikes a spark in him and he can’t explain why.  She’s the complete opposite of what he’s normally attracted to but for some reason he just can’t seem to resist her sweet and lively personality.
Cary is the person that will help him get his publishing company into the ever expanding market of erotica romance and onto the e-readers of women everywhere.  She’s been in the industry for some time and they agree to work together to start the new erotica line at Donovan Books.  As they work together to bring on board a well known erotica writer and capitalize on her existing fan base that will follow, Hunter realizes he is way out of his depth on the subject and Cary surprises him at every turn while helping him learn the ropes [pun intended].
For once, it was the man learning and the female teaching or expanding the man’s sexual experience/knowledge… Like I said, a breath of fresh air.  I truly enjoyed this story definitely recommend it.  The Bondage Club was extremely well written and paced so that we have time to get to know Hunter and Cary and become more and more invested in them.
I give this one a 5 BRIGHT SHINY STARS.

5 Star Book Review: THE VIXEN AND THE VET by Katy Regnery

The Vixen & the VetThe Vixen & the Vet by Katy Regnery

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

★✩★I can only give it 5 stars but my heart gives it 10. A definite MUST read in my book. ★✩★

A copy of the book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

When I was provided a copy of The Vixen and The Vet to review and I didn’t know what to expect. I try to go in with a blank slate so I did not read the synopsis and went in completely blind.

I was intrigued from the beginning and as I read this wonderful story, I truly fell in love with this couple. Savannah and Asher were great characters and felt completely real to me. I felt what they felt.

The love that grew between the characters was so palpable, I honestly felt jealous. This is a story of two strangers who meet one summer day both coming from something that caused them to return to their home town to “lick their wounds”. Asher, a severely wounded and disfigured veteran, came home nearly a decade ago never leaving his home; Savannah, a report who fell for her story’s source and had her career ruined as a result. As they get to know each other, they become friends which ultimately brought them closer than either of them expected. This friendship grows into a love so deep that I could feel it through the pages I read. Their moments of intimacy was so passionate and so pure that they were the most intense I’ve read in a very long time. In my opinion, no amount of erotica I’ve read can compare to the specials scenes between Savannah and Asher and that’s my main genre favorite.

Writing this review…it’s so difficult to describe what I felt. After nearly two hours of finishing this book, I’m still so raw from the emotion this story pulled from me. I’ve read a few “tear jerkers” lately but this one honestly made me cry. It was a difficult reaction to maintain as I was at work at the time, and I’m not talking about a tear or two. I’m talking about runny nose, sniffles, etc. Mind you, I’m not a person easily moved and crying is not something I do often, if at all. This amazing story brought out so much feeling and emotion from me, I’m just in awe.

Katy Regnery did an outstanding job of bringing these two characters to life. The story was VERY well written and flowed so naturally that I found myself reading at a pace that didn’t feel rushed. I could actually hear the conversations in my head as well as hear their southern “drawl” as they spoke.

This is one story I will never forget. Savannah and Asher will stick with me always.

Naughty Mom Series Review and Blog Tour: SHAKEN SERIES by Julie Bailes

Mature Audience Only

**Book 1 in the Shaken Series**

If someone asked me to describe myself using only one word, I’d tell them damaged. I’m completely broken, irreparable. On the outside, I appear beautiful and bright, but on the inside, my soul is black and empty. I haven’t always been this fragile, scared, and heartbroken woman. Nope. I had the life my peers envied; happily married parents, captain of the volleyball team, and a dangerously sexy and loving boyfriend. Then, faster than I could blink, my life went to hell in a gasoline-soaked hand basket.

Cancer struck. The sting of death pierced my heart, and my so-called ‘loving’ boyfriend left me. Wyatt shattered my heart into a million pieces when he left, but little did he know, it wasn’t just me he walked away from. Four years later, Blake changes everything. Unlike Wyatt, Blake treasures my heart. Blake claims I’m beautifully broken, and that he can fix me, but I know differently.

How can you put something together without all its pieces? You can’t. When Wyatt left, he took most of my heart away with him. You see, hearts are like broken glass; you can put it back together again, but it will never be the same. While I’m undeserving of Blake’s love, he deserves every bit of mine. My biggest fear is that I’ll crush his heart, just as Wyatt did mine.

I have to say that this was one of the most emotional reads I’ve come across…so far.  The story begins with Allie coming to terms with a great loss in her life and I felt her pain.  As I began to read this story, I was already tearing up from the beginning.  As Allie tries to move on from the pain and push forward, she begins to see one of her best friends in a new light.  The ever attentive and extremely sweet and sensitive gentleman that is Blake and is officially my ultimate dream man.  Who needs a bad boy, biker, billionaire when you have the perfect gentleman who loves with ALL his heart and soul?  I wouldn’t.
Occasionally, I felt that Allie’s character was a bit whiny for my tastes. I understood she was still reeling from her loss but she expected everyone to continue to suffer as she did.  So occasionally I tended not to like her so much.  Moving on and accepting her recent loss was not something she could easily do and she felt it shouldn’t be easy for anyone else either.

Blake helped with her recovery and was ever so patient with her.  I fell in love with him from the very beginning.  With the other novels I’ve read, I was expecting him to turn out to be a a secret bad boy, a cheater or just a sadistic ass but he wasn’t and I just loved him even more.  He was perfect in every way.

This was such a good story and wonderful start to the series.

Shattered & Shaken gets 4.5 Naughty Stars

**READ after Shattered and Shaken (book 1), and prior to Shattered & Mended (book 2)** Mature audience only

Walking away from her was the hardest decision I ever made. Leaving her without an explanation broke us both. Our hearts have been left shattered. I could make excuses. I could lay the blame on others, but still I made the decision. I had to. It was the only way to protect the both of them. After all of Allie’s loss, my thought was only on her and her happiness. On her love and need for her big brother. I was replaceable, Kyle wasn’t. I wouldn’t allow him to crush her heart with his death. I knew I had follow him. I would throw myself on top of bombs, in front of bullets, whatever it took to get him home to her, alive. There are two sides to every story, and you’ve only heard one. Don’t be so quick to judge; I hate myself for what I’ve done. But all that I did, it was all for Allie.

Pulchritudinous [pukl-kri-tood-n-uh-s]: adj. physically beautiful, comely; n. formal, literary or physical beauty
What can you say about a man that would use such an unknown/rare word to describe how beautiful you are when he sees your naked body for the first time?  I’ll admit, I had to look this word up.  I didn’t expect to find it’s definition to be so utterly romantic.  And ladies, that’s exactly what we get when we read All for Allie.

In this story we get to read Wyatt’s POV.  In this companion piece several parts of the story are filled and explained as to Wyatt’s whereabouts and whys.  We also see how intense his friendship with Kyly (Allie’s brother) was and deeply his love for Allie runs and that he’ll fight to win back her love.

Wyatt is another one of the good guys.  His one and only love is Allie and he won’t let her go.  As I fell in love with Blake in Shattered & Shaken, I began to see Wyatt in a new light.  As I read this story, I began to feel torn between Wyatt and Blake.  They both loved Allie completely and unconditionally and treated her as if she was the only woman in the world.  I can say that Allie is one lucky girl to have both of these amazing men after her heart.

As did the first book, I had to fight back tears.  This was another emotional read and though it was a novella, it added so much to this series.

All for Allie gets 5 Naughty Stars for making me feel so much in this novella.

**READ Shattered & Shaken and All for Allie prior to Shattered & Mended, as this is the last in the series** Mature Audience My mind was made up and my decision had been made, but fate felt the need to rear her ugly head and demand control. Fate is guaranteed, not to be reckoned with, and she won’t be defeated. You see, she’s the author to our stories that have already been written; there’s no editing them. Try as you might, but all you’ll do is piss her off. When you fuck with fate’s masterpiece, tragedy strikes, death occurs, and hearts get shattered. I’ve never been one to follow the rules. So instead, I stood with arms wide open and I challenged her. I knew the possibilities of her kicking my ass were high, but I refused to back down. I invited all the heat she packed, and quickly learned my lesson… You don’t fuck with her.

Ok, so I have to say that Julie Bailes has made me tear up and/or cry with each book in this series.  That’s a first for me.  I’m not an easy cryer and it takes a lot to make me literally feel the sadness in a story I read.  This series was EXTREMELY well written and each book only got better than the previous.

After reading All for Allie, I couldn’t decide who I wanted Allie to be with.  Either man would be the ultimate catch.  I do have to say that as the book came to a conclusion…I still felt strongly for Blake and I will forever be #teamblake.  Though Wyatt loved Allie with all his heart and soul, in my eyes, Blake showed that he loved her  more.  I won’t giveaway how, but I think he proved he was the better pick.  Of course, being this is my review, that would just be my opinion.

Shattered & Mended was filled with much more drama than the previous books.  Allie is faced with learning what type of person her best friend, Sophie, truly is.  She deals with more heartbreak and difficult decisions that anyone would just crumple to the ground if faced with the same experiences.  She truly became a strong woman compared to the whiny girl I came to know in Shattered & Shaken.  She became an independent woman after dealing with her life over the course of a year or so.

I commend Julie for bringing to life an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING series and sharing it with her readers.  I’m in awe of what I read and will always use these stories as a comparison for what I read in the future.  She set the bar quite high and if I could officially give more than 5 stars…I’d have to say that all three books in this series would get 8.5 Naughty Stars, hands down!

As it stands, Shattered & Mended has earned 5 great big golden stars for an emotional heart warming and heart wrenching read.  Heart wrenching because I still feel like I’m recovering from a book hangover after 2 weeks of reading it.

The Beats in Rift

Release day ~ June 13th

I was invisible, until they saw me.

When circumstance forced me and the Jacob twins to spend two weeks of the summer together, the bond we formed would impact us all, altering our lives.

Fate, entwining us forever.  They became my best friends, my family, my first love.

With their love came their father’s hate!  Love is powerful but also painful and destructive when it’s torn between three people.

When my mother’s reputation and their father’s vile actions damage that love, that friendship, it changes the dynamics of our trio setting me on a path of love, loss and impossible decisions.

Jared the beautiful rogue, who pushed her limits, opened her eyes and owned her heart.  Their love was powerful, everlasting… until he abandoned her.

Justin, loyal and true, picked her up when she was left fragmented.  He made a place for himself in her heart and would fight to keep it.

When both twins come in and out of Meadows life, leaving damage and hurt in their wake will she ever choose one or the other, or leave them both without the beats in their heart?

What do you do when you meet the richest, cutest twin brothers from school?  Make friends with them, of course.  That’s what Meadow did when she met Jared and Justin Jacob.  It was an instant friendship that lasted for years and Meadow and the Jacob twins were inseparable.  But what happens when a friendship grows to something more? What happens when you can’t decide who you can’t live without?  Meadow is faced with these questions. One is her heart, the other is her soul but before she can decide which is which, she is faced with having to deal with their evil dad and his unexplainable hatred for her.

Jared and Justin have an intense love for Meadow but their struggle with the fact that Meadow loves them both causes them to make choices and disappoint Meadow when she needs them most.  As I read this story, I found myself bouncing from #teamjustin to #teamjared.  They both had such great qualities and loves Meadow so deeply it’s hard not to fall in love with both of them.

Ker Dukey did it again.  She brought us a story where you fall in love with the characters and can’t help but cry when they cry or hurt when they hurt.  Beats in Rift was a great coming of age story that shows the complications of loving and possibilities of loving more than one person at a time.  Meadow, Jared and Justin were lovable characters I couldn’t help but identify with.  Another great book from a very talented author.

Author bio:

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active, I would want to change the script. I would watch films and think of ways they could of improved the story if they took another direction.

My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling too.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life, but when I do get down time, I love attending music concerts with my younger sister, who shares my reading soul, we are two peas in a pod.

Book Review+Blog Tour+GIVEAWAY: THERAPIST by Jaden Wilkes

Title: Therapist
Author: Jaden Wilkes
Release Date:  May 19, 2014

I am a sociopath. I know this because I diagnosed myself.I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology from a very prestigious university.

I am charming, attractive, and you probably want to sleep with me.

I take what I want, when I want, and I enjoy picking the most tragic of all my patients to experiment with.

I have no remorse, I am unrelenting in my pursuit of tragedy, and I am about to meet my match.

Her name is not important, I am only allowed to call her Mistress. She is a femme fatale, a patient, and now an obsession.

She will destroy me, I will do anything to get inside of her.

I can already feel her inside of me.

**Trigger warning. This novel contains situations of perversity and dubious consent. It is not a love story, but more of a journey through a few short days in the life of a madman. What you see is not always what you get, reality is altered through his eyes and sometimes there is no happily ever after.

My Review:
Oh, Dr. Dane…Dr. Dane!  You are one twisted man and I would love to book an appointment for an hour on your couch.  What’s “normal” anyway?  We all have our hang ups, right?  I would like to volunteer for your experimental treatment.  I’m sure I can come up with a trauma that warrants your special attention to cure me. 🙂
Jaden has an amazing talent of bringing us a dark and twisted character and presenting them in a way that we would love to enjoy some private time with them.  Dr. Dane is no exception.  Every one has their hangups, demons, issues and what have you, it’s what you do to manage it.  Dr. Dane is a therapist and he’s well aware of his issues.  He’s managed a way to help “cure” his patients by using them for his own depravity.  When Mistress comes into the picture, Dr. Dane finds a whole new obsession and what comes after will blow you’re mind.
Therapist gives us gritty, raw, dirty and rough.  I appreciated Alexander Dane’s inner monologue.  I had quite a few laugh out loud moments.  Other’s may consider him as a sick/perverse individual but I saw him as a humorous man with a unique sexual appetite.  Reading about his treatment sessions resulted in a few occasional breaks of some alone time with my own personal bedside arsenal .
I loved this book and it’s originality.  Thank you Jaden for your perverse imagination and twisted humor.  Therapist is another reason why I love your work and am in awe of your talent.
4.5 Naughty Stars for this one. 4.5-stars

As I approach my office, I am hit with a familiar scent. Cigarette smoke. An earthy, fragrant smell that tickles the edge of my memory. I know this brand from somewhere, but I don’t know where.
I follow my nose down the short hallway to my private area and open my door.
Smoke hangs heavy in the air, clouds of it billow away from me as I enter. I cut a path through to find out who fucking dares to pollute my office like this.
“Shut the door, Alexandre,” a smooth female voice announces as I enter my space. I turn and see a figure seated on the couch, a halo of pure white smoke envelops her head and she exhales a languid breath that lingers as she speaks. “We need to talk.”
I don’t know why, but I obey. I shut the door, turn back again and look at her. She seems familiar; I think I’ve seen her before. She’s wearing a cherry red cocktail dress, dangerously high black leather heels and elbow length white silk gloves. Her hair is black and falls in waves around her face; her eyes are just as dark. I stare into them and wonder if they ever end.
“Who are you and how did you get in here?” I demand and walk to the window. “Please put out your cigarette, this is a no smoking office,” I continue and slide the glass open.
“I don’t want to, I feel more comfortable with a cigarette in my hand,” she purrs and smiles at me. Her lips are dark red and her teeth are perfect, white and straight. She’s an incredibly beautiful woman. “Think of it as part of my…treatment.”
“Why are you here this early? Who scheduled you? And once again, how did you get in?” I demand again. She laughs and leans back on the couch, her long legs stretch out in front of her, emphasising their perfect shape.
She doesn’t answer, but says, “Doctor, I believe I have an urgent issue we need to address. Please,” she gestures towards my desk, “have a seat.” She draws one last breath from her cigarette, exhales as I sit and butts it out on the bottom of her shoe. Red, Louboutins. In a flash I remember where I’ve seen her. Just last weekend at the restaurant. She was there, was she watching me?
I take my seat. She doesn’t seem like the type I want to argue with, at least not until I get to know her. I decide to go along with her little game and give her the illusion of being in control until I can determine how she needs to be treated. “Well? What is this about?” I ask and set my satchel down on the floor next to my chair.
She takes the cigarette butt and flicks it onto the floor at her feet. She leans back again and looks me up and down, landing on my face, her own a mask of disapproval. “You have been a very, very wicked boy, Alexandre,” she says, her voice still a purr. She has the slightest accent and draws out the last part of my name with a sexy drawl. It’s not Russian, Eastern European perhaps? Middle Eastern? I can’t tell, and with her ambiguous dark features, I couldn’t put a finger on her ethnicity either. She’s beautiful and a complete conundrum.
“Why would you say that, Miss…what did you say your name is?” I ask her, leaning across the desk. I forgot to give the surface a swipe yesterday afternoon and it still carries the slightest pungent scent of the sex that happened on it. A gentle nudge, a reminder of the wicked things I have done.
“I didn’t,” she says and smiles. She almost moves in slow motion as if underwater, elegant and purposeful. “I’ve been watching you, Alexandre, and I’ve seen you get up to all kinds of terrible things.”
“What kinds of things?” I ask her, deciding to continue engaging in her little delusion until I know more about her.
“Things to women, vulnerable women,” she says and raises an eyebrow. “Patients, women you pick up in bars, online…you are very busy and very wicked.”
“How do you know this?” I ask her, feeling rather uncomfortable at this particular line of accusation. I’m very careful with my activities, especially with patients. “Have you been following me?”
“Not following, but watching. They’re very different thing. I’ve had my eye on you for a while now, you know,” she tells me and watches my reaction.
“What is your name?” I demand again, feeling that familiar sharp prick of anger rising behind my eyes.
“My name is unimportant. You may call me Mistress.”
“Mistress?” I repeat and laugh, “I don’t think it’s appropriate to be calling you that. Now please tell me your name so I have something to call you.”
She leans forward on the couch, crosses her ankles and stares me down. After a moment or two of uncomfortable silence, I realize I have to capitulate to get anywhere with her.
I shuffled a few papers on my desk, look back at her and say, “Fine, Mistress it is. Now why are you here…Mistress?”
She licks her lips and leans back again, extends her beautiful legs and folds her hands on her lap. She is perfection and she knows it. That irritates me somehow and yet I can’t help but hang on her every word. The anticipation of her reply is coursing through my veins.
“I already told you,” she says in her low, melodic voice, “I am here because you have been wicked. I am here to punish you.”
I’m not that into BDSM. I like to tie people up and I am the consummate Dominant man if it comes right down to it…but the way she says it, in the mysterious accent, sends a thrill down my spine. I lean farther across the desk, look her in the eyes and say, “How are you planning on punishing me?”

Devil’s Game (Reaper’s MC #3)

Author: Joanna Wylde

Release Date: June 3, 2014

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn’t afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn’t afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One. Or so she thinks.

Devil’s Game is by far my favorite of the Reaper’s MC series.  Em and Hunter were such great characters and were totally relate-able.  Hopefully you’ve read Reaper’s Property and Reaper’s Legacy.  If not download them now.  Trust me, you’ll love them just as much.  Though it’s possible to read this without them, you’ll learn so much more about all the other characters in the this story.  Also, there are some scenes in Devil’s Game that overlap with scenes in Reaper’s Legacy when we learn of Sophie and Ruger’s story.

I loved Em and Hunter.  Hunter is the typical fuck ’em and chuck ’em biker who’s only love is the love for his MC and Em is the daughter of an MC president and a rival to Hunter’s.  Because of the situation between the two MCs, they’re thrust in a situation where there is no denying their attraction to each other.  Though they fight it it’s still under their skin and unshakeable.  It was interesting to the Em’s strength from her life of living with an MC.  She’s a very strong young woman and demonstrates that strength time and time again throughout this book.

Both characters had GREAT chemistry and the writing was superb.  Conversations between the characters were natural and Joanna did a magnificent job or portraying life in a motorcycle club.

Devil’s Game was filled with intense sexiness, amazing sexual tension and wonderful humor.  I had quite a few laugh out loud moments as I read and enjoyed it immensely.  Filled with colorful characters, a great story line and strong characters, it’s easy to get lost in this read.  Once I started, it was difficult for me to put my iPhone/iPad down.  Once I finished… I was already craving more.  [by the way, you can pre-order the next book; Reaper’s Stand]  I look forward to reading Picnic’s story.

Devil’s Game by Joanna Wylde gets 5 Naughty stars.

Sometimes the last thing you need is exactly what you get…
He’s the sexy 007 type complete with tuxedo and an icy blue stare.
She’s a tom-boy waif who’s more nerd than goddess.
When Tori Bennett ends up at the Justice Brothers compound in the Arizona desert,
she’s running away from an epic scandal with her in the starring role as whistleblower.
She’d had enough of powerful, arrogant men, and just wanted to
fly off the radar for a while and get her confidence back.
Draegyn St. John was all that and then some…and he knew it.
As if being a trust-fund kid with the blonde good looks of a Nordic god wasn’t enough,
he was also a Special Forces Vet with a serious attitude. Women fell at his feet.
It wasn’t even a challenge. Until Victoria Bennett comes along and rocks
his high and mighty world in a very big way.
Sparks fly each time they meet. When an agency crisis throws them together on an out-of-town trip, their business relationship becomes personal in a hurry. For Drae, it’s an itch he needs to scratch and for Tori, it’s a flat out case of lust. No harm, no foul, right?
Find out what happens when her smart mouth and refusal to take anybody’s crap meets his powerful arrogance. When what happened in Vegas, didn’t stay in Vegas, everyone is in for one shock after another!
Fixing Justice is the 2nd book in the Justice Brothers series.
Without having the background of this series or reading the previous novel, Broken Justice, it was quite easy to slip into this story with full understanding of what’s going on. Though this is a series, in my opinion, Fixing Justice was written in a way that it can be read as a stand-alone.

We start out meeting Draegyn St. John during the wedding reception for his military “brother” and business partner Cameron. During his moment of solitude we get a detailed explanation of his background regarding the family life he grew up in.

Victoria “Tori” Bennett is the latest addition to the Justice Agency family as Alex’s, nerdy tech savy and financial wizard, assistant. Keeping to herself and doing everything she can to stay below everyone’s radar, she stumbles upon Drae in the dark dessert night and is instantly attracted to his 007 secret agent sexiness. When Drae sees Tori he isn’t sure what to think of her. She’s nowhere near his type but for some mysterious reason, she immediately gets under his skin.

Written in the 3rd person narrative, the reader is treated to both POVs in this story. Drae’s in a constant battle with what to do about his unusual attraction to Victoria. Her spunk and witty comebacks keeps him on his toes and only feeds the flame. All the while, Tori is battling her non-stop attraction to the notorious playboy. His sex appeal and amazingly sculpted body has her sex drive into OVERDRIVE every time she sees him. As they both resist the pull to each other, their walls crumble that much faster leading to a very sexy and steamy union. From then on, each time they got together, their passion is ignited like fireworks at a Chinese New Year celebration. They literally ravish each other because their attraction runs so deep. A simple kiss is always the spark that lights the fire they can’t put out.

Of course, once they get comfortable and start to accept their attraction to each other, a monkey wrench is thrown in and it all goes to crap. They go from hot and steamy to cold and angry in seconds flat which only drives them crazier for each other.

The story is a good example of “opposites attract”. Both Drae and Tori were very relatable characters and it was easy for me to feel for the characters and their situation. We do get the standard HEA; which is what the audience is usually on the lookout for.

I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading Redeeming Justice to read about Alex’s story.
FIXING JUSTICE gets a 4 stars from this Naughty Mom.

Amazon | Amazon UK | Barnes&Noble

Abigail is a sweet self sacrificing individual.  She’s devoted her life to protecting her brother, trying to keep him out of trouble and bailing him out when he doesn’t listen.  Because of his most recent bout with trouble at work, Abigail is faced with a proposition to be personal assistant to Kameron Maldonado, the CEO and owner of MalTech Corporation.  To avoid having charges against her brother she accepts the job and hopes that she can remain detached from the desire she instantly feels for Kameron.

Kameron saw Abigail and knew he had to come up with a way to have her near.  Her brother’s trouble gave him the perfect opportunity to feed his desires.  Neither of them had an idea how this arrangement would affect them but they will never be the same.

I loved the chemistry between Kam and Abby.  Their desire for each was instant and their connection undeniable.  I could tell Kam tried hard to maintain this rough exterior facade but could see he was immediately open to Abby.  Their intimate moments were very HOT and STEAMY from the start.  The only BDSM aspect of this story is that Kam wants to maintain constant control as Dominant and wants  Abby to be his sub.  The suspenseful plot in this story was captivating.  I couldn’t put my eReader down as I was so involved in the story.  There were plot twists to keep you going it was difficult to guess the “who done it” factor; which was a PLUS for me.  I can usually tell you who the guilty party is from the beginning.

Tawny Taylor brings us a Sexy romance with a great storyline.  I give this 4 stars on the Naughty scale.3ed0e-4stars
