My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Incapable was a great story with a very strong heroine and a sex bad boy hero.
Declan is a man that came from a hard life and at a young age joined the bad crowd to survive. After years with them he’s grown much harder and edgy and not someone anyone would want to cross.
Evie’s life wasn’t easy but she’s moved to the city with plans to make a better life for herself. Everything changes one day when she walks into a pub and meets the people that will change her life. Declan, Mona and Beth. Each of them have very strong personalities and they see Evie as a timid innocent girl on the wrong side of town. Of course they see she’s not a pushover when Declan’s cranky, rude personality shows how bubbly he can be.
Through the story we see how it unfolds from both POVs. Declan holding on as to his tough exterior as much as he can and Evie fighting through his walls so he can become the man she knows he can be. Her faith in him and the strength with which she carries herself with was impressive. No matter where she came from or how her life was, she remained caring and was always looking for the best in people. She was so sweet and likeable. It’s was easy to see why Declan couldn’t resist her.
And Declan? I think he was a great blend of bad boy, criminal and sexy sweet. No matter how much he tried to resist it, Evie got unde his skin and he became a different man. His marshmallow interior was so much sweeter because it was so rare and reserved only for her. They were couple opposites and it made them absolutely perfect for each other.
