Love begins with attraction and our attraction started in an online chat room.
The beauty of the internet is you can be whoever you want to be.
I can let my guard down and show who I really am.
I’m no longer the shy girl who doesn’t fit in. I’m someone with a purpose, someone worth listening to.
I’m someone worth loving.
The world doesn’t need to know I’m only seventeen.
One little lie about my age isn’t going to hurt.
Eli is everything I’ve ever wanted in a relationship. He’s funny, sweet and so damn sexy. We’ve never met, but our connection is strong.
He wants to meet me and more than anything I want to meet him. I want to feel him in my arms, I want to see if our relationship is as strong in person as it is online.
So we do.
And it is.
It’s wonderful and amazing and everything I hoped it would be.
But in the chat room, I told a little white lie about something significant.
And lies, however big or small, always catch up with you.
Mine caught up with me in my History Classroom.

I fuck them. I use them. I pay them off. I find another. My demands are never denied. My contracts are always signed. They submit to me. Willingly. Completely. Temporarily. This is how it’s always been.
Until I saw that filthy tweet.
@VaughnAsher My bare pussy. Your tongue. #ThingsIThinkAboutToGetOff
“FilthyBlueBird” thinks she can tease me with hashtags and then hide behind a Twitter handle? She thinks I wouldn’t be more than happy to #RockHerFilthyWorld? She’s wrong.
Her online fantasy is about to collide with her public reality, and it’s about to happen… now.
“You look lovely, Grace.”
I smile back, but before I can say anything, he guides me over to the hallway where the restrooms are located. “Come with me, girl,” he says in his master voice, and I gulp down my apprehension.
He holds the door open to the men’s room. I pass through and then he closes it behind us and locks it.
“Take off your panties, Grace.”
Even though he’s calling me Grace, I know I have no chance of talking my way out of this. He gave in back at the bungalow and let me win. Now it’s his turn.
I lift up my flirty skirt that could blow up and expose my private parts with the slightest wind, and slip my panties down my legs, step out of them, bend over and pick them up. And then hand them over to his outstretched palm.
He brings them to his face and inhales. My eyebrows go up and he smiles.
“Fuck, that’s intoxicating. Now listen, girl. I let you have your way but now it’s time to perform. You owe me a public orgasm, Grace. And I want it here in the restaurant.” He produces a small bullet vibrator from one suit pocket and a remote control from the other. “And I’ve got everything you need to be successful this time.”
“No.” It comes out so fast, we are both equally stunned. I take advantage of his pause, because this is the only chance I’ll get. “I’m not sure what you have in mind, but I’m not masturbating in a restaurant. I won’t do it.”
He scowls at me. “You will do it. You already promised me.”
“So? I didn’t know that what you wanted would get me arrested for being a public whore!”
“Would you just trust me, please? You haven’t even heard what I want yet.”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. Why can’t we just have lunch?”
“I’m adding that fuck to your list. And to answer your question, because I gave you an order and you didn’t want to follow through. This was the agreement. You do as I say and you get rewards. You disobey and you get punishments.”
“But why can’t you just say, Grace, you look lovely. Let’s eat some fucking food?” I smile at his scowl and have to cover my mouth with my hand to stop from laughing. He’s so easy to mess with.
“I don’t appreciate that, Grace. Now bend over so I can get you nice and wet first.”

J. A. Huss likes to write new adult books that make you think and keep you guessing. Her favorite genre to read is space opera, but since practically no one reads those books, she writes new adult science fiction, paranormal romance, contemporary romance, urban fantasy, and books about Junco (who refuses to be saddled with a label).
She has an undergraduate degree in horses, (yes, really–Thank you, Colorado State University) and a master’s degree in forensic toxicology from the University of Florida. She used to have a job driving around Colorado doing pretty much nothing but shooting the breeze with farmers, but now she just writes, runs the New Adult Addiction and Clean Teen Reads Book Blogs, and runs an online science classroom for homeschoolers.
Or so she thinks, until she takes a look through her telescope and sees a naked, tattooed man on the balcony across the courtyard. Hawke is mysterious, the bad boy she knows will bring only heartbreak. He has been watching her, and that makes him all the more enticing.
But when a mysterious and anonymous text message dares her to do something bad, she must decide if she is really the good girl she has always claimed to be, or if she’s willing to risk everything for her secret fantasy of being watched.
Is her mystery man the reclusive billionaire with a wild side or the darkly dangerous bad boy?
Excerpt #1 – R rated – Sinful Rewards 1
Voices murmur outside the condo’s door, the sound piercing my delightful daydream. I swing the telescope upward, not wanting to be caught using it. The snippets of conversation drift away.
I don’t relax. If the telescope isn’t in the same spot as it was positioned last night, Cyndi will realize I’ve been using it. She’ll tease me about being a fellow pervert, sharing the story, embellished for more dramatic effect, with her stern serious dad or, worse, with Angel, that snobby friend of hers.
I’ll die. It’ll be worse than being the butt of jokes in high school because that ridicule had been about my clothes and this will center around the part of my soul I’ve always kept hidden. It’ll also be the truth and I won’t be able to deny it. I am a pervert.
I have to return the telescope to where it was positioned. This is the only acceptable solution. I tap the metal tube.
Last night, my mancrazy roommate had been giggling over the new guy in three eleven north. The previous occupant had been a grayhaired, bowtiewearing tax auditor, his luxurious accommodations supplied by Nicolas. The most exciting thing he ever did was drink his tea on the balcony.
According to Cyndi, the new occupant is a delicious piece of man candy, tattooed, buff, and head-to toe lickable. He’d been completing arm curls outside and she’d enthusiastically counted his reps, oohing and aahing over his bulging biceps, calling to me to take a look.
I’d resisted that temptation, focusing on making macaroni and cheese for the two of us, the recipe snagged from the diner my mom works in. After we scarfed down dinner with Cyndi licking her plate clean, she left for the club and hasn’t returned.
Three eleven north is the mirror condo to ours. I straighten the telescope. That position looks about right but then, the imitation UGGS I bought in second year college looked about right also. The first time I wore the boots in the rain, the sheepskin fell apart, leaving me barefoot in Economics 201.
Unwilling to risk Cyndi’s friendship on about right, I gaze through the eyepiece. The view consists of rippling golden planes, almost like…
Tanned skin pulled over defined abs.
I blink. It can’t be. I take another look. A perfect pearl of perspiration clings to a puckered scar.
The drop elongates more and more, stretching, snapping. It trickles downward, navigating the swells and valleys of a man’s honed torso.
No. I straighten. This is wrong. I shouldn’t watch our sexy neighbor as he stands on his balcony. If anyone catches me…
I glance behind me. There’s no one here to catch me. Cyndi won’t know I looked. The hunk in three eleven north won’t know I looked. I’m not harming anyone.
I bend over and take another peek.
The sunlight casts interesting shadows across his stomach, accentuating the ridges of muscle, the dip of his navel. I dart my tongue over my suddenly dry lips. His skin is marred with silver scars, some round, some slashes, this proof of hard living, of survival, arousing me, tightening my nipples and moistening my pussy.
I shouldn’t lust after him. He’s the wrong kind of man, the leaving kind, too virile and feral to stay in one place for long. I can tell this from his stance, from his brazen exhibitionism. He wants me to look at him, to care for him. I tilt the telescope downward. His hips are slim. More scars are etched along the bones. Fine brown hair trails from his navel to…
My mouth drops open. He’s completely naked.

She lives in a world where demons aren’t all bad, angels aren’t all good, and magic happens every single day. She loves writing fated to mate romances because this is her personal experience with love. She fell in love with my dear wonderful hubby at first sight and 20 years later, they’re still very much in love. This is what she wishes for her characters and for her readers.
The last place Pia wants to be is on a family vacation in a sleepy Cornish village. She’s anticipating two weeks of mind-numbing boredom. Then she meets Trey, a local boy. He’s absolutely gorgeous. The trouble is — he knows it. He’s arrogant and egotistical, and Pia intends to avoid him at all costs.
But Trey is not the kind of guy who gives up easily. When he sets his sights on Pia, her resistance is futile.
It’s just a holiday romance, some light-hearted fun, right? But one of them is about to discover that still waters do, indeed, run deep. When what lurks beneath the surface finally erupts, the consequences may prove to be catastrophic.
For age 17+ due to sexual content and strong language.
He grins, and my hand itches to slap it off his face.
“Do you think I’d give you a frozen ready meal? You might be surprised,” he says.
I snort. “I’m already surprised. I’m surprised I agreed to this date. I’m surprised that I’m even surprised, that you aren’t bothering to take me out.”
He busts up laughing, a deep, throaty laugh, that makes his shoulders shake. His laugh is infectious and his whole face lights up, it’s attractive and it annoys the heck out of me that I think so. He finally stops laughing and gazes at me, his eyes sparkling. “You’re adorable.” He grabs my hand and pulls me inside. My heel catches on the door frame; I lurch forward, and slam into his chest.
I can feel his heartbeat beneath my palms, he smells of spices. I shiver as he strokes his fingertips down my bare arms. This is so embarrassing, I’m sure my face is the colour of a tomato. Why did I wear these stupid heels? “I’m sorry, I tripped,” I mutter, as I finally pluck up the courage to look up at him.
He cocks his head to the side and smirks. “As much as I enjoy you throwing yourself at me, Precious, you might want to wait until after dinner.” Arrgh. I shove him away and step backwards, giving him my most furious glare. As he brushes past me to close the door, he glances down at my feet. “How do you even walk in those things?” His gaze slowly travels up my body, and my skin heats up, as if his eyes were lasers. His hand reaches for me; I hold my breath and stiffen, unsure of where his touch will land. He ruffles my hair. “You’re still tiny, even when you’re wearing stepladders, aren’t you, Pee Aitch.”
I frown at him. “Pee aitch?”
He nods his head. “Yeah, Pia Hamilton, that’s your name, right?” My mouth forms a thin line. “What’s your surname?”
His eyes shine. “Baker.” I fold my arms across my chest. “Trey Baker.”
He smiles. “Yeah, that’s right.” I raise an eyebrow. “Tee Bee, as in, tuberculosis, a nasty disease that you want to get rid of.”
He nibbles at his lip, and then he chuckles. “It’s no use trying to charm me with sweet talk, Precious.”
He kicks off his flip flops, leaving them on the hallway floor, then he glances down at my feet again.
“Take those things off, before you break your neck.”
I’m glad the movie is over; I couldn’t focus with Pia being so near, but not being able to touch her. Pia covers her mouth, and yawns. “Thanks for an awesome evening, Trey. I’m going to bed. I’m exhausted.”
I follow her to my bedroom, and turn on my bedside lamp. She’s standing by my bed; twirling her braid around her finger.
“Let me know if you need anything.” Like me.
Fay comes in, and sits down on my bed. “Can I sit here and talk to you while you go to sleep, Pia? I’m not tired yet,” she says.
Pia nods, so I reluctantly grab a spare blanket and pillow from the top of my closet.
“Sweet dreams,” I say, as I head to the lounge to make up my bed on the sofa. It’s comfortable enough, but I can’t sleep knowing that Pia is in the next room. I want to snuggle up with her. I can’t get her out of my head. It’s like she’s bewitched me or something. I’ve never felt this way about a girl before. I throw the blanket off, sit up and rub my hand through my hair. I heard Fay go into the spare room a little while ago; maybe I can go join Pia. I stop outside my bedroom door, and listen but I can’t hear anything. I’m about to turn the door handle but I stop myself. If she’s asleep it could freak her out if she wakes up and finds me in there. I force myself to go back to the lounge. Luckily I got my ipod out of my room before she went to sleep. I scroll through my song list until I find ‘New tattoo.’ I smile; this song describes how I feel about Pia right now. Feeling thirsty I head to the kitchen to get a glass of water. As I fill the glass I hear movement behind me. I turn, and see Pia. Her hair is loose and messy, and falling around her shoulders. She’s wearing one of my t-shirts, and my gaze falls down to the hem which ends just above her knees. Damn, she looks hot, and she’s so fucking tiny.
“Erm…I’m thirsty, I came to get some water,” she says.
I grin at her. “Me too. Can’t you sleep?”
She shakes her head. I fill a glass with water and hand it to her. She nods towards my ipod which I’ve wedged into the waistband of my sweatpants. “What are you listening to?” I pull my ear buds out and hook her hair behind her ears. Her hair is so soft and silky; I let it run through my fingers before lightly brushing my hand against her cheek. I pop my ear buds into her ears.
She smiles. “I like this; I’ve not heard it before.”
I move closer and rest my hand on the small of her back. “It reminds me of you.”
She starts moving to the music. Although I can’t hear it I know the beat of the song. I slip my hands around her waist, and sway with her. I gaze into her beautiful, brown eyes as my head dips towards hers.
“My kitchen isn’t a brothel.”
My gaze snaps to the kitchen doorway. My mum stands there with her arms folded, glaring at us.
“Why don’t you shag your whores in your bedroom like you usually do?”
Pia tugs the ear buds from her ears, and hands them to me. Her face is red, and her gaze is glued to the floor. “I’m sorry,” she mutters.
Mum walks into the kitchen and fills the kettle with water. Pia speeds towards the kitchen door.
“Pia, wait.” She keeps walking, I can’t blame her. I scowl at my mum. “I can’t believe you said that.
Pia isn’t a whore.”
Mum switches on the kettle and puts a teabag into her mug. “They are all whores. You bring them here, you fuck them, then you leave them.”
I stare down at the floor. She’s right, that’s what I usually do. “Pia’s different. I like her, and you just upset her.”
Mum scoops out her teabag and spoons sugar into her mug. “She wouldn’t have got upset if you’d done as I asked and not invited them to stay. I don’t want your whores running around my home half naked.”
I squeeze my hand into a fist; my nails dig into my palm. I’ve never hit a woman, and I don’t want to start now. “Pia is not a whore,” I say through gritted teeth. “And you didn’t ask me not to invite them, you TOLD me I couldn’t. This is my home too you know.”
Mum makes a huffing noise, picks up her mug and walks away. Fuck. I kick the kitchen cabinet, wince and grab my foot. Dammit, I hope I haven’t broken my toes.
I need to apologise to Pia. I hobble towards my bedroom but stop when I hear Pia’s voice coming from the spare room.“…and I almost had sex with him tonight.”
I press my ear against the door, and listen. I hear Pia speak again.
“That was a mistake and so was coming here.”
I swallow the lump in my throat as I continue to listen.
“I don’t mean anything to him; even his mum knows he has a different girl in his bed every week. I was almost another of his conquests. I was right about him from the beginning, I should have known better.” I hear her sniff. Have I made her cry? “And he was so obviously hitting on that girl at the station. He just left her there, pretended he didn’t even know her.”
I close my eyes and draw in a deep breath. I want to tell her she’s wrong. I want to tell her I can’t stop thinking about her, that I want to be with her. That I haven’t even been with another girl since I met her. But I can’t because I don’t want her to know I’ve been standing out here listening to their conversation.
“So I did interrupt something earlier. We can leave,” I hear Fay say. “We can get a train home tomorrow.”
No. No, please stay. I put my fist against the door, and am about to knock on it when Pia speaks again. “No. We’ve already paid for our return fare. They won’t let us change the date; we’d have to pay for new tickets. It’s only a week, I can deal.”
Deal. She’s going to suffer my company. That’s just great.
“Sleep in here with me tonight,” Fay says to her.
I drag myself away from the door and back to the sofa. I bury my head in my pillow. I have to show her how much she means to me and make it up to her somehow.
