Erotica, Erotic Romance, Adults Only

Enter the world of The Sugar House. Here you’ll meet the illustrious Madam Janice Cane and her brood of men and women who will fulfill your every fantasy. But can they find a way to fulfill their own?

Sugar & Salt

After over a decade working in the sex industry, Janice Cane retains no illusions about the nature of relationships. Everyone lies and everyone wants something. Still, a part of her longs for a connection.

Speed-dating becomes her addiction, a place to find a man for the night when she needs a quick fix, and her last hope that true love may still be waiting around the next corner. When a mysterious man entices both her intellect and her lust, she becomes entangled in an affair more complicated than she’d expected.

Protecting Portia

Jackson Grady met the love of his life. Unfortunately, he was running drugs for a pimp named Sasha at the time, who asked him to keep an eye on their new acquisition from Russia, the bedraggled beauty named Portia. She touched his heart and forced him to confront the kind of man he’d become.

Now, Portia and Jackson both work at The Sugar House. He continuously looks out for her, and longs for her with his every breath, but knows he is unworthy of such an angel. What will Portia do to win not only the heart, but also the body, of the man she loves?

Dual Domination

Caitrin’s a Dominatrix at the high class brothel The Sugar House, and an elegant burlesque performer with leagues of men and women falling at her feet. The Sugar House is her home, her hunting ground, but she’s never felt like she belonged. Only with her childhood friends and fellow deviants, Donovan and Raef, has she found her place.

Donovan prefers his women on the submissive side, and likes to create erotic art out of rope and the female form. When a crisis at The Sugar House puts a friend in trouble, he must confront his deeper feelings for the one woman he’s told himself he can’t have – Caitrin.

With their friendship in turmoil and The Sugar House on the verge of collapse, can these two friends find their way to each other?

The restaurant sizzles with life—couples engaged in whispers and friends exchanging stories in exuberant tones. The citrus and black decor should be gauche, but instead sets an intimate atmosphere.

“I have three sisters.” Salt says.

“What are their names?”

“Hope, Faith, and Chastity.” He rattles the names off as if it were obvious.

“They are not.”

“They are.”

“And you got Devon?”

“Apparently my father wanted to name me Daemon, but my mother fought back.”

“Are your parents particularly religious?”

“No, just particular.”

As they chat, the crowd at the bar becomes dense, and the hostess maneuvers through the waiting diners until she arrives at their table. “Mr. Salzmann, the chef would like to offer you a complimentary plate of our newest dish, an Asian Fusion rack of lamb. I’m sure you and your date will enjoy it.”

He raises one eyebrow at Janice, gauging her interest. “Sounds lovely.” He speaks to the hostess, but his eyes never leave Janice.

“Who are you?” She asks once the hostess leaves.

“What do you mean?”

“Come on, Salt. Not everyone gets immediate seating at a place like Tahlia’s. The chef knows you by name? That’s not how things work in the real world.”

“As opposed to what world?”

“Whatever world you live in. Give me a straight answer for once—no more fucking around.”

“You know, there’s something amazingly sexy about a woman who isn’t afraid to swear.”

“You’re doing it again.”

“And you are so delicious when you’re agitated.”

“I’m just about agitated enough to leave.”

“Yes, I don’t like being fucked with.”

“I find straight answers usually lead to conversations of a more serious nature than I am in the mood for tonight. I’ll make you a deal: you stay for dinner, we’ll laugh and chat, and if you want all the details about my boring life, I’ll tell you next Thursday. Just show up for speed-dating ten minutes early. I’ll be at the bar.”

She studies him, weighing her hesitancy to reveal the truth about herself against her need to be in control. What could it hurt?

She picks up her wine. “Fine, I’ll play, but only if you answer three yes or no questions.”

“Meeting conditions with conditions?” He reaches for a sesame rice cake appetizer.

“I have limits to what I can handle.”

“All right.” He sets his snack down on the bread plate, and folds his hands on the table. “I’m in.”

“Have you ever killed anyone?”

“Purposefully or accidentally?”

“Then why did you ask me to specify?” She looks at him with skepticism.

“Wondering what your limits are, exactly.”

She rolls her eyes. “Are you currently married or committed in any way to anyone?”

“No.” His answers come easy, falling like truth.

“Last one.”

“Hit me.”

“Have you ever bought or sold a human being?”

He recoils and squints his eyes, as if trying to make out a distant shape. “What kind of question is that?”

“The kind I require an answer to.”

“Jesus, what the hell is wrong with the men you date?”

She shrugs. Used to disappointment, she’s ready to walk away. “If you don’t tell me, I’m going to assume the worst.”

“No, I have never bought or sold a human being. Fuck.”

“Good, then you get a reprieve on full disclosure until next Thursday.”

He leans back in his chair and studies her again. “You are an extremely interesting woman.”

“So you’ve said.” She takes another sip of wine.

BOOK BLAST: Shaken Series by Julie Bailes

Mature Audience Only

**Book 1 in the Shaken Series**

If someone asked me to describe myself using only one word, I’d tell them damaged. I’m completely broken, irreparable. On the outside, I appear beautiful and bright, but on the inside, my soul is black and empty. I haven’t always been this fragile, scared, and heartbroken woman. Nope. I had the life my peers envied; happily married parents, captain of the volleyball team, and a dangerously sexy and loving boyfriend. Then, faster than I could blink, my life went to hell in a gasoline-soaked hand basket.
Cancer struck. The sting of death pierced my heart, and my so-called ‘loving’ boyfriend left me. Wyatt shattered my heart into a million pieces when he left, but little did he know, it wasn’t just me he walked away from. Four years later, Blake changes everything. Unlike Wyatt, Blake treasures my heart. Blake claims I’m beautifully broken, and that he can fix me, but I know differently.

How can you put something together without all its pieces? You can’t. When Wyatt left, he took most of my heart away with him. You see, hearts are like broken glass; you can put it back together again, but it will never be the same. While I’m undeserving of Blake’s love, he deserves every bit of mine. My biggest fear is that I’ll crush his heart, just as Wyatt did mine.

**READ after Shattered and Shaken (book 1), and prior to Shattered & Mended (book 2)** Mature audience only

Walking away from her was the hardest decision I ever made. Leaving her without an explanation broke us both. Our hearts have been left shattered. I could make excuses. I could lay the blame on others, but still I made the decision. I had to. It was the only way to protect the both of them. After all of Allie’s loss, my thought was only on her and her happiness. On her love and need for her big brother. I was replaceable, Kyle wasn’t. I wouldn’t allow him to crush her heart with his death. I knew I had follow him. I would throw myself on top of bombs, in front of bullets, whatever it took to get him home to her, alive. There are two sides to every story, and you’ve only heard one. Don’t be so quick to judge; I hate myself for what I’ve done. But all that I did, it was all for Allie.

**READ Shattered & Shaken and All for Allie prior to Shattered & Mended, as this is the last in the series** Mature Audience My mind was made up and my decision had been made, but fate felt the need to rear her ugly head and demand control. Fate is guaranteed, not to be reckoned with, and she won’t be defeated. You see, she’s the author to our stories that have already been written; there’s no editing them. Try as you might, but all you’ll do is piss her off.

When you fuck with fate’s masterpiece, tragedy strikes, death occurs, and hearts get shattered. I’ve never been one to follow the rules. So instead, I stood with arms wide open and I challenged her. I knew the possibilities of her kicking my ass were high, but I refused to back down. I invited all the heat she packed, and quickly learned my lesson…

You don’t fuck with her.

Born and raised in Nashville, TN, wife of one, mother of three, and chocolate fanatic! Author of Shattered and Shaken, due to release mid September. I attend nursing school full time, but in my spare time I love spending time with my family watching movies, eating junk food, and every once in a while a girls night out on the town. I enjoy reading, even though I haven’t read much since I’ve began my journey as author. I live by the motto “Live life as if you’re dying, Laugh until your stomach hurts, Love until your heart stops beating, and never judge.” Simple rules to follow. We never know what someone else is going through or what they have been through. Life is too short to be angry, unforgiving, or depressed. Each day is a gift from God that can be taken at any given moment- embrace the gift of life….
