It’s been a few moons since I’ve cried and I wasn’t expecting to do that with this story.

This was my very first Laura Kaye novel and I can say, without a doubt, I am now a fan. Her writing was beautiful, imagery was detailed and story line was sensual.

bts-teaser4I’m such a huge fan of the BDSM sub-genre of romance and I expected the standard playroom scenarios, but Laura Kaye delivered an aspect I don’t see much. Shibari. The practice of Shibari is so sexy and enticing that her elegant details of Master Griffin binding Kenna was an actual turn on for me. Those scenes were just absolutely exquisite.

But aside from the standard club scene, this story delivered some real and relateable issues. Loss, guilt and heartbreak. Both parties dealt with those emotions and this story was there second chance and setting things right.

It was awe inspiring and so emotional there were plenty of times I physically felt my heart palpatate from either their hurt, regret, guilt or love. I pelt every pang they did.

This was such a beautiful story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
