It started out like any other morning on the train.
Until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle.
He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world.
Who did the stuck-up suit think he was…God?
Actually, he looked like a God. That was about it.
When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out.
I might have picked it up.
I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers.
I might have held onto the mystery man’s phone for days—until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.
When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me.
So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk’s office.
I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first though.
I didn’t expect him to text back.
I didn’t expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.
I didn’t expect to fall for him—all before we even met.
The two of us couldn’t have been any more different.
Yet, you know what they say about opposites.
When we finally came face to face, we found out opposites sometimes do more than attract—we consumed each other.
Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn’t prepared for where I’d wind up when the ride was over.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

7 STARS for this book!! The emotions it conveyed had tears steaming down my face during different parts of the story. It wasn’t overly emotional but it was so beautifully written, I couldn’t help the way it touched me or the depth of the feelings this story evoked.
From the moment Amelia and Justin were reunited at their recently inherited home, I could feel the tension between them. It was VERY apparent that Justin held some resentment from whatever happened so many years ago, even though Amelia showed she wanted to be adult about everything and just move on and get along. Though she still harbored the same feelings for Justin, she understood how her actions would have resulted in his anger and attitude toward her and she accepted his treatment without complaint. That showed so much strength in her character.
I don’t know how to explain how this book made me feel. It wasn’t an emotional story, per se…but I truly felt the emotions that Amelia and Justin battled with; whether they were being friendly or not; no matter the time that separated them, they still held a closeness or bond that would help them to always be able to get through it.
I found myself crying and laughing on so many occasions throughout this whole story. The moments were so subtle they just snuck up on me and I can’t quite figure out why they affected me so deeply. Please understand that I’m not an emotional person and it’s quite hard to get me to that point, so the fact that I required tissues toward the end, had me quite surprised.
The bond/friendship between Amelia and Justin having resulted in such a passionate love… I was truly touched. This is definitely an unforgettable read, for sure.

About the Book:
Bound by a vow with his friends, hotel tycoon Nathan Archer refuses to settle down and tie the knot. His only commitment is to bachelorhood. Granted, that contract was made when he was 15 years old… and in a treehouse. Still, a promise is a promise. And Nate takes his promises seriously.
But when cute little Eleanor Marshall walks back into his life, this blast from the past is no longer the timid little girl he used to know. When Ellie propositions him for a night of sizzling, unattached sex, Nate can’t refuse. Besides, it’s only one night. And Nate is never going to settle down.
Never say never…
