Review+Blog Tour: Devil’s Game by Joanna Wylde

Devil’s Game (Reaper’s MC #3)

Author: Joanna Wylde

Release Date: June 3, 2014

Liam “Hunter” Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil’s Jack, he knows his duty. He’ll defend his club from their oldest enemies—the Reapers—using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers’ president has a daughter who’s alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club’s president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger—a man who isn’t afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn’t afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he’s The One. Or so she thinks.

Devil’s Game is by far my favorite of the Reaper’s MC series.  Em and Hunter were such great characters and were totally relate-able.  Hopefully you’ve read Reaper’s Property and Reaper’s Legacy.  If not download them now.  Trust me, you’ll love them just as much.  Though it’s possible to read this without them, you’ll learn so much more about all the other characters in the this story.  Also, there are some scenes in Devil’s Game that overlap with scenes in Reaper’s Legacy when we learn of Sophie and Ruger’s story.

I loved Em and Hunter.  Hunter is the typical fuck ’em and chuck ’em biker who’s only love is the love for his MC and Em is the daughter of an MC president and a rival to Hunter’s.  Because of the situation between the two MCs, they’re thrust in a situation where there is no denying their attraction to each other.  Though they fight it it’s still under their skin and unshakeable.  It was interesting to the Em’s strength from her life of living with an MC.  She’s a very strong young woman and demonstrates that strength time and time again throughout this book.

Both characters had GREAT chemistry and the writing was superb.  Conversations between the characters were natural and Joanna did a magnificent job or portraying life in a motorcycle club.

Devil’s Game was filled with intense sexiness, amazing sexual tension and wonderful humor.  I had quite a few laugh out loud moments as I read and enjoyed it immensely.  Filled with colorful characters, a great story line and strong characters, it’s easy to get lost in this read.  Once I started, it was difficult for me to put my iPhone/iPad down.  Once I finished… I was already craving more.  [by the way, you can pre-order the next book; Reaper’s Stand]  I look forward to reading Picnic’s story.

Devil’s Game by Joanna Wylde gets 5 Naughty stars.
